Obituary of Dean Cagwin

NEWVILLE-Mr. Dean W. Cagwin, 75, a native of Newville, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, April 26, 2007 in Valley Health Services, Herkimer, where he had been a resident since 2002. At the time of his passing he had the comfort of his loving daughter Felicia at his side. He was born in Little Falls on August 14, 1931, son of the late Andrew and Evelyn (Hollister) Cagwin and graduated from Little Falls High School. He was an honorably discharged veteran serving with the U.S. Army from 1952-1954 and was the recipient of the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was last employed with the Rome Psychiatric Center. Survivors include his daughter: Felicia Mosher of Little Falls and her children: Traci and husband John Gardinier, Trisha, Teresa and fianc? Justin Battisti and Jessica; his son: Charles Cagwin and wife Darlene of Mohawk; a brother: Keith Cagwin and wife Diane of Newville; a sister: Carol Casadonte and husband Pete of Newville; a great grandchild: Madison; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Saturday, April 28, 2007 from 3-5 p.m. His funeral will be held on Saturday at the conclusion of calling hours (5 p.m.) in the funeral home. Final interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Garlock Cemetery, town of Danube. The family would like to offer their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at Valley Health Services, Herkimer for their kindness and compassion offered.
