Obituary of Adam Crouse

Adam G. Crouse, Jr. St. Johnsville ? Adam G. Crouse, Jr., 79, formerly of St. Johnsville and Gloversville, passed away on Wednesday April 18, 2007, at New Boston Nursing Home, Sandisfield, Mass after a long illness. He was born May 6, 1927 in St. Johnsville the son of the late Adam G. Crouse, Sr. and Beatrice (Smith) Crouse, and was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School, class of 1944. Mr. Crouse was a United States Navy veteran serving in the Korean Conflict from 1948-1950. His marriage to Lorraine Perry Hanchett took place in September 1948. Mrs. Crouse passed away on December 27, 2000. Adam worked for Green Thumb in Gloversville until his retirement in 1998. Survivors include eight children, Gerald W. Crouse and wife Patricia of St. Johnsville, Kay Lenarcic and husband Ray of Herkimer, David A. Crouse and wife Sue of Mayfield, Lynn M. Crouse of Odenton, MD, Terry P. Crouse and wife Joanne of Annapolis, MD, Jeffrey M. Crouse and wife Darla of Vans Hornesville, Melissa A. Crouse and Larry of Kirkville Adam D. Crouse of Gloversville, and, two brothers, Donald Crouse of St. Johnsville, and Ray Crouse of California, a sister, Lois Moskey of St. Johnsville, 17 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews & cousins, and a special friend, Selma Bahr of Little Falls. He was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Alexis Crouse. In keeping with Adam?s wishes graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday April 28, 2007 at 11:00 am at West St. Johnsville Cemetery. Local arrangements are by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY. All memorial contributions may be to Gloversville Free Library, 58 East Fulton St., Gloversville, NY 12078.
