Obituary of Lillian Drumm

Lillian C. Drumm, age 78, of Forge Hill Estates, a longtime Ilion resident, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007, at Little Falls Hospital. Lillian was born in Oriskany Falls, December 17, 1928 the daughter of the late Terrance H. and Agnes (Hayes) Carney. She was a graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School in 1946. In Utica, April 23, 1949, Lillian was married to Robert W. Drumm in St. Francis DeSales Church. While in Utica, Lillian was employed by the Utica Mutual Insurance Co., and the New York Central Railroad payroll department. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk, and also a member of the Mohawk American Legion Post 25 Auxiliary. Lillian is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Laurie Ann Franklin of Mohawk; one beloved granddaughter, Alison H. Franklin of Keuka Park, NY; one beloved grandson, Paul R. Franklin of Mohawk; one son, Robert W. Drumm Jr. and his companion, Kimberly Harris, both of E. Herkimer; one sister, Mrs. Alice Snow of Brookfield; one brother, Walter Carney of FL; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and James Keers of Grandville, NY; one sister-in-law, Alma Carney of Oriskany Falls; and several nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by her two sisters, Ann Murphy and Rose Cowen; and her brothers, Herb, George, Raymond, Donald, and Richard Carney. Family and friends are invited to visitation Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion. Lillian's funeral service will be held Thursday, commencing at 10:15 a.m. at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, Ilion, and 11 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Lillian's family wishes to thank the physicians and nursing staff of Mohawk Valley Nursing Home and Little Falls Hospital 3rd floor for the care and compassion given to Lillian during her illness.
