Obituary of Emily Farrington

Emily A. Farrington, 50, daughter of Harold and Patricia (Taggart) Hay, currently of Peckville, Pa., was called home to the Lord on March 2, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. Emily was born May 17, 1956, in Amsterdam, N.Y. She was educated in the Ilion and West Canada Valley school systems. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all. She is also survived by her beloved children, Krystin Moynihan of Ilion, Kari Farrington of Ilion, and Chester ?Eric? Farrington of Frankfort; her four cherished grandchildren, Melina, Jun?, Liam and Jillian; her brothers and sisters, Harold Hay of Ohio, Anne Moore and her husband Thomas of Oregon, Kathleen Simons of Ilion, Daniel Hay and his wife Beverly of Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Emily also leaves behind her longtime companion Darrell Yaddow. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, March 14, commencing at 7:30 p.m. at the Applegate and Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion with Father Anthony Barratt, pastor of the Church of the Annunciation, officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to Emily's memorial service at the Applegate and Day Funeral Home. Interment in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion, will take place later this spring at a date and time to be announced.
