Katherine Fortucci, 84, a longtime Little Falls resident, passed away on Saturday December 8, 2007 at St. Luke?s Hospital, New Hartford, with her loving husband Alfred by her side. She was born January 20, 1923 in Amsterdam, NY the daughter of the late James V. & Lucy (Pollata) Richie and was educated at a country school house on Paradise Road in Little Falls. Her marriage to Alfred Fortucci took place on May 9, 1942 at St. Joseph?s Church in Little Falls. Mrs. Fortucci was last employed at the former MDS in East Herkimer. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Alfred, a sister, Marie Perry and husband Frank of Little Falls, a sister-in-law, Lucy Giaquinto and husband Dominick of St. Johnsville, and several niece s& nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Anthony, Nicholas & Ralph Richie and a sister, Marguerite Franchino. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 15, 2007 at 10:15 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY and at 11:00 am from Holy Family Parish, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Anthony Ligato, pastor. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday December 14, 2007 from 5-9 pm. All memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Little Falls Dialysis Unit. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
