Obituary of Kathleen Guiney

Mrs. Kathleen D. (Donovan) Guiney, 68, of Overlook Rd., town of Little Falls, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. She was born in Little Falls on July 14, 1938, daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth (Howard) Donovan and graduated from St. Mary's Academy, Little Falls. She furthered her education by attending Herkimer County Community College, graduating with an associates degree. On May 25th , 1963, she was united in marriage with William T. "Bill" Guiney in St. Mary's Church, Little Falls, with the Rev. Joseph Reger, officiating. Mr. Guiney passed away on December 16, 1995 after a loving and devoted union of 32 years. Kathleen's last professional employment was with Malone & Malone Law Offices, Little Falls. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. A beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend she leaves a sister: Margaret Miller and husband Kenneth of New Jersey; nieces and nephews who were the light of her life and like her own children: Lisa Miller-Nolan and husband Edward of Jackson, NJ, Patricia Miller-Pilger and husband Steve of Gloversville, Mary Bergene and husband Ted of Oswego, and Dennis Guiney Lake Worth, Florida; great nieces and nephews: Jake Pilger, Alexa Nolan, Justin Nolan, Christopher and wife Sara Bergene, Jon Bergene and Kimberly Bergene; great-great nieces and nephews: Sydney, Jenna, Collin, and Brianna. She is also survived by her sister in law: Jane Guiney of Little Falls. She was preceded in death by her sister: Madonna Donovan. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Friday, March 16, 2007 from 4-7 p.m. Kathleen's funeral will commence at 10:15 am on Saturday, March 17, 2007 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 11 am from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls where a funeral mass will be offered by Father Anthony Ligato, pastor. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest with her husband. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, especially mentioning the ICU unit for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
