Obituary of Frederick Herringshaw

ILION-Frederick H. ?Fred? Herringshaw, Jr., of 8 Montgomery St., Ilion, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 10, 2007 in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Syracuse. He was born on December 24, 1950, in Little Falls, son of the late Frederick H. and Beatrice (Guyer) Herringshaw and educated in Mohawk schools. Fred enlisted with the United States Army on October 11, 1970 and was honorably discharged on September 30, 1976. He was last employed with Union Tools as a tow-motor operator and was at one time employed with the HP Snyder Manufacturing Company and has resided in Ilion for the past ten years. In his spare time he enjoyed motorcycling and flying. He was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his beloved family; his brothers and sisters: Stanley Herringshaw and wife Valerie of Little Falls, Lelia King of Oklahoma, Beatrice Snyder and husband Leroy of Mohawk, Elnora Bradle and Gary Austin of South Carolina, Lorraine Brown and husband Thomas of Syracuse and Brian Herringshaw of Mohawk; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunt, uncles and a brother in law: Joseph Humphrey of Mohawk. He was predeceased by his sister: Donna Humphrey. Relatives and friends may call at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, on Friday, July 13, 2007 from 12-1 p.m. His funeral service will commence at the conclusion of calling hours (1 p.m.) in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Klossner, officiating. Procession will follow to Salisbury Rural Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest in the family plot.
