Obituary of Harry Kuchman

Mr. Harry ?The Hat? Kuchman 87 of 313 North Road Salisbury Center, died Sunday December 9, 2007 in St. Elizabeth?s Hospital Utica, after a brief illness. He was born in Connecticut, on April 17, 1920 the son of Philip and Jessica (Cazcshchyj) Kuchman and moved to this area with his family, where he attended Salisbury Center School. He was married to the former Elizabeth Jaikin who predeceased him on July 12, 1979. Harry was employed by the former Petibone Company of Rome, New York as a layout engineer. He retired from there when the company closed a number of years ago. He personally enjoyed going to auctions and was known for being a scrap metal dealer throughout the area. Surviving is a Son Harry A. Kuchman of Salisbury Center and a Daughter Susan VanOlst of Salisbury Center, his grandchildren, David, Daniel, Tammy, Kristine, Tiffany, Samantha, Philip, Darren, Lee and Joseph, and several great grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 12th, 2007 at 11 AM at the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. The Rev. Jon A. Noble will officiate. Burial will be in Curtis Corners Cemetery, Town of Salisbury. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
