Obituary of Ann Kulawy

Ann Kulawy, 69, of 8 Cottage St., St. Johnsville passed away on Tuesday November 13, 2007 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY. She was born December 20, 1937 in Nestanechi, Ukraine, the daughter of the late Petro & Katerina (Korolevich) Martyniuk. Ann graduated from St. Johnsville High School, class of 1957 and graduated from Utica School of Commerce in 1958. Her marriage to John A. Kulawy, Jr., took place on September 5, 1959 in St. Johnsville. The couple were married for 41 years until the passing of Mr. Kulawy on January 22, 2001. Ann was employed by Attorney Henry Lurie, then for Central National Bank in St. Johnsville for 34 years, retiring in May of 2000. Mrs. Kulawy was a member of St. Patrick?s Church in St. Johnsville and for many years was a member of the St. Johnsville Business Girls. Survivors include her sons, Christopher Kulawy and wife Julie of New York Mills, and Robert Kulawy and wife Holly of Marcy; her daughter, Jacqueline Herringshaw and husband Christopher of Fort Plain; her beloved grandchildren, Jessica Herringshaw, Kaitlyn Kulawy, Ryan Kulawy and Mackenzie Kulawy; a stepbrother, Jerry Martyniuk of Dolgeville; a brother-in-law, Andrew Kulawy and wife Eileen of Wantagh, NY; sisters-in-law, Barbara Handel and husband Richard of Whitesboro, NY and Olena Martyniuk of Fort Plain; and several nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was pre-deceased by a sister Katherine Hrynewicz and two stepbrothers, Michael Martyniuk and Walter Martyniuk. In keeping with Ann?s wishes memorial services will be held on Saturday November 24, 2007 at 11:00 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY with Sister Johanne McCarthy, Parish Life Director of St. Patrick?s Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Johnsville Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers all memorial contributions may be made to S.A.V.A.C., P.O.
