Obituary of Ann LaForce

ILION - Ann M. (Hurteau) LaForce, 65, of 425 Otsego St., Ilion, and formerly of Elizabethtown Road, Ilion, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at home. She was born on March 11, 1942, in Herkimer, the daughter of Ernest and Mary (Lubey) Hurteau and graduated from Ilion High School. On Feb. 24, 1968, Ann was married to Edward ?Ed? LaForce at the Church of the Annunciation, Ilion. From 1960-1968 she was employed at Sperry-Rand Univac in Utica and Ilion. Ann was also a teacher's assistant at Mount Markham Elementary and High School, West Winfield, from 1984-2004. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, West Winfield, and the Church of the Annunciation, Ilion. Survivors include her husband, Ed; two daughters and one son-in-law, Marie Streator of Ilion, Sheri and Bill Cordaro of Cohocton, N.Y.; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Erin LaForce of Florida, David and Beth LaForce of Stittville, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; one great grandson; two aunts, Catherine Amendolare and her husband George of Ilion, Clara Snyder of Herkimer; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion and 9:45 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Anthony Barratt, pastor, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Calling hours are Monday, May 14, 2007 from 4-7 p.m. at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home.
