Obituary of Angelina Lamanna

HERKIMER-Mrs. Angelina M. (Perruccio) Lamanna, 97, of Dewey Ave., Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in her home, with her family by her side. She was born on November 14, 1909 in Italy, daughter of the late Nicholas and Concetta (Stagliano) Perruccio and educated in Herkimer. She was joined in Holy Matrimony with Rocco J. Lamanna, with whom she enjoyed a loving and devoted union of over 50 years until his passing on January 14, 1982. She was a devoted member of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer and also the St. Francis Auxiliary. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, crocheting and playing rummy with her grandchildren. Mrs. Lamanna was a constant support for her children, always there for them when they needed her. A devoted and generous grandmother, she was always willing to go far out of her way and do all she could for the benefit of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She leaves her beloved family; her son: Anthony Lamanna of Ilion and Rocco Lamanna, Jr., of Herkimer; her daughter and son in law: Jeanine Migliore and husband Ben Migliore, Sr., of Herkimer; grandchildren: Sal and Ellen Migliore of Herkimer, Gina and Ken LaBarge of Mohawk, Ben and Patricia Migliore of Herkimer, Rocco and Melanie Lamanna, Joseph and Linda Lamanna, and Lisa and Ray Johnson of Ilion; great grandchildren: Matthew and Benjamin Migliore, Nicole and Lyndsay LaBarge, Anthony, Michelle, Sara, Mary, Victor and Christine Lamanna, Joseph, Michael and Marissa Johnson, Gregory, Andrew and Brittany Owen; great-great grandchildren: Jared and Kimberlee Johnson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers: Angelo and Anthony Perruccio; her sisters: Theresa LaLonde, Clara Longeretta, Rita Carbone and Rose Charles. Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, will be on Friday, November 2, 2007 from 4-8 p.m. Her funeral will commence at 9:15 am on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 from the chapel of the funeral home where a prayer service will take place and at 10 am from Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer.
