Obituary of Patsy Liscio

Patsy A. Liscio, 81, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away on Saturday February 17, 2007, at the Folts Home, Herkimer, NY. He was born January 11, 1925 in Little Falls, the son of the late Nicola and Assunda (Lamanna) Liscio, and was educated in Little Falls schools. His marriage to Agnes Franchi took place on September 27, 1947 in Little Falls. Mr. Liscio was a World War II Army veteran, enlisting on March 31, 1943 and was honorably discharged on October 27, 1945 with the rank of Private First Class. While serving his country, Patsy was a Prisoner of War, and received a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and other commendations. Patsy was employed for many years at the former Mohawk Data Sciences in East Herkimer. At one time he worked at the former Allegro Shoe Co., in Little Falls, was manager at the Little Falls Thruway Esso Service Station, and lastly was a courier for the Enea Family Funeral Home and the former Herkimer County Trust Bank. Mr. Liscio was a long time member and officer at the DeCarlo Staffo Post in Little Falls, and also worked and coordinated the Wednesday Night Bingo there. For 47 years, he was a call firefighter for the city of Little Falls. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Agnes; a son, David Liscio and wife Christine of Nahant, Mass; 2 brothers, Identical twin Rocco Liscio and wife Ida of Herkimer, and Michael Liscio and wife Lena of Little Falls; a sister, Susan Barone of Highland, NY; 2 grandchildren, Zachary & Juliana Liscio; in-laws, Stella Gamberdella; and Lido and Caroline Salarpi, of Little Falls, and many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 20, 2007 at 10:15 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY, and at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Anthony Ligato, pastor. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday February 19, 2007 from 4-7 pm.
