Lena M. Lutz, 65, formerly of 236 Perry St., Herkimer, passed away on Saturday October 6, 2007 at the Masonic Care Community, Utica, NY, with her loving family by her side. She was born August 4, 1942 in Little Falls, the daughter of the late James & Beatrice (Parkhurst) Chrisman and was educated in West Canada schools. Mrs. Lutz was last employed at the Herkimer Elementary School, retiring in 2004. With family as her foremost priority, Lena proved herself a loving and caring mother and grandmother. In her leisure she enjoyed arts and crafts. Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Mosher and fianc?e Wilhelm Lutz of Herkimer, Debbie Briggs and husband Edward of Herkimer, and Cindy Key and husband Steve of Clinton, NC, three sons, Bud Mosher of Herkimer, John Mosher and wife Kelly of Herkimer, and Kristopher Lizotte and wife Eliza of Long Lake, two sisters, Murtis Backell and husband Earl, Sr., of Herkimer, and Betty Sears and husband Edward of Frankfort, three brothers, James Chrisman, Jr. and wife Georgeann of Frankfort, Donald (Red) Chrisman of Frankfort, and Kenneth Chrisman of Arizona, 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by a grandson Sidney Briggs. Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 11, 2007 at 11:00 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, NY, with Reverend Tommy Dennis, pastor of the Oak Ridge Free Methodist Church, Herkimer officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday October 10, 2007 from 5-8 pm. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the Masonic Care Community and especially the staff of Woodgate and 3 south for the care and compassion shown to Lena during her stay.
