Obituary of Dorothy Malone

LITTLE FALLS-Mrs. Dorothy M. (Miller) Malone, 92, a lifelong Little Falls resident (formerly of King St.,) passed away on Thursday evening, December 6, 2007 peacefully in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion. She was born on November 1, 1915, in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Reardon) Miller and graduated from St. Mary's Academy. She was a lifelong Little Falls resident and was married to Robert Malone who passed away in 1964. Dorothy was last employed as a dispatcher with the Little Falls Police Department. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls and a member of the church Rosary Society. Dorothy enjoyed playing bridge in her spare time, but most importantly enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. "Aunt Dot" as affectionately known by her family leaves numerous close nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three sisters: Eileen Miller, Sal Bowman and Elizabeth Miller and by five brothers: Robert, James, Charles, Bernard and John Miller. There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial commencing at 11 am on Monday, December 10, 2007 from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls with the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor officiating. The Rosary Society will form an honor guard at the service. The family will form a receiving line following the conclusion of the Mass. Funeral procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she ill be laid to rest in the family plot. Kindly consider memorial offerings to the Holy Family Parish Memorial Fund; envelopes may be obtained at the church on Monday.
