KEUKA PARK-Mrs. Lorine Estelle Marmet, 54, of 221 Cherry St., Keuka Park, a Mohawk Valley native, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, August 6, 2007 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. At the time of her passing she had the love and support of her husband Kenneth at her side. The family will be present in the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., between Ilion and Frankfort, (894-8000) to receive relatives and friends on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 from 4-7 p.m. Mrs. Marmet?s funeral will commence at 10 am on Friday, August 10, 2007 from the chapel of the funeral home. Procession will follow to Mohawk Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Kindly consider memorial offerings to the Humane Society of Yates County 1216 State Route 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527 or the the Herkimer County Humane Society, P.O. Box 73, Mohawk, NY 13407. Envelopes are also available at the funeral parlor for this purpose. Members of Mohawk American Legion Auxiliary will conduct their service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday evening. She was born in Ilion on November 26, 1952, daughter of the late Harold Hefner, Sr. and Gladys (Wedemeyer) who resides in Mohawk. She was a graduate of Mohawk Central School and attended Herkimer County Community College and was the recipient of numerous insurance degrees. On August 6, 1988, she was united in marriage with Kenneth Marmet in Mohawk with the Honorable John W. Bergin, officiating. The couple marked 19 years of marriage on the day of her passing. Lorine was currently employed as a commercial insurance agent with Stork Insurance in Penn Yan, NY. She held memberships with the woman of the Moose, Penn Yan, and the Mohawk American Legion Auxillary. Lorine was a loving and thoughtful woman, who possessed and demonstrated a sincere concern for others along with a willing generosity to offer her help, support and understanding to all who knew her. One of her lifelong pleasures was cooking, a skill which she especially liked to use for the delight and benefit of family and friends. Her greatest joy and the light of her life was watching and caring for her grandchild Sydney Jade. She leaves her beloved family; her husband: Kenneth of Penn Yan; three sons: Justin Marmet of Frankfort and fianc?e Angela, Jason Burton of the Thousands Islands, and Andrew Burton and fianc?e Shannon of Oregon; a daughter: Leshia Kozenewski and husband Ted of Ilion; her mother: Gladys Hefner of Mohawk; her sister: Linda VanDelinder of Mohawk; her adored grandchild: Sydney Jade; inlaws: Theresa Hefner of Rochester, Jimmy Marmet and wife Eva of North Carolina, Kathy Moynihan and husband Dave of Mohawk and Rosemary View and husband Ed also of Mohawk; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her bother: Harold Hefner, Jr.; father in law and mother in law: Herbert and Agnes Marmet and by her brother in law: Carl VanDelinder.
