Obituary of James McMahon

James Lee McMahon, 61, of Herkimer passed away peacefully on Saturday November 10, 2007 at St. Luke?s Hospital, New Hartford, NY. He was born on March 29, 1946 in Little Falls and was the son of Elizabeth McCluskey and Orlando McMahon and the stepson of Stanley McCluskey. A graduate of Little Falls High School, he later went on to earn an Associates Degree from Fordham College of Liberal Arts in NYC with a concentration in photography. Jim also worked as an electronics technician for UNIVAC in the 1970?s and for MDS in the 1980?s. Known by his family and friends for his varied interests and unique sense of humor, his presence will be sadly missed. He is survived by his children: Shannon Farrell and husband Mark of Newport and Shawn McMahon and wife Jennifer of Akron, Ohio; a grandson, Mark Farrell, Jr.; an aunt, Helen Frye and cousins, Marsha Peach and Karen Steruskey. Also worth mentioning are Jim?s three closest friends, Wally Walawender, Steve Zuk and Neil Young, who was always there for Jim. His children want to thank you for all you have done over the years. Your loyalty and friendship were important and did not go unnoticed. In keeping with Jim?s wishes there are no calling hours. A small, private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, NY. The family would like to thank the many wonderful nurses at St. Luke?s Hospital, especially those on the third floor of the Allen-Calder wing, for their caring service.
