Obituary of Bernard Mlinar

LITTLE FALLS/HERKIMER-Mr. Bernard J. "B.J" Mlinar, 63, a Little Falls native, and a 20 year resident of Herkimer, passed away on Sunday morning, May 13, 2007 in Faxton/St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. He was born on September 27, 1943 in Little Falls, son of the late Bernard L. and Elizabeth (Rice) Mlinar and was educated in Little Falls schools. He also attended Adirondack Community college and was a communicant of St. Agnes Church, Utica. For 20 years, B.J ran a successful painting/wallpaper restoration company and also had assisted his father Bernard working on residential and commercial businesses specializing in restoration work. Always a proud and dedicated father his children were the center and heart of his life. He enjoyed nothing more than when he was in the company of his kids. Because his greatest happiness was making them happy, he was always thinking of ways to help them or enhance their lives and was always there to lend a hand when needed. He leaves his long time partner: Charmaine Kissner of Herkimer; a son: Jeffrey C. Mlinar of Herkimer; a daughter: Melanie Dennis and husband Dave of Hopatcong, NJ; two cherished grandchildren: Kylie Dennis and Zachary Dennis. He is also survived by Charles and Mary Jean Kissner and son Andy; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Holleran & Enea Family Funeral Home, on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. B.J's funeral will commence on Thursday, May 17 at 9 am from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 10 am in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 700 Kossuth Ave. , Utica, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Francis J. Willenburg, pastor. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where he will be laid to rest.
