Obituary of Christine Murdock

SCHUYLER-Mrs. Christine E. (Gage) Murdock, 65, of 190 Watkins Rd., Frankfort, (town of Schuyler), passed away on Sunday morning, November 4, 2007 in Faxton/St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford, with the love and support of her family by her side. She was born on December 9, 1941, in Edmeston, daughter of the late Marshall and Viola (Nutt) Gage and educated in Holland Patent schools. She was joined in marriage with Ronald Murdock on December 22, 1962 in the Frankfort Methodist Church. The couple enjoyed a union of almost 46 years. Chris was last employed with Par Technology, New Hartford as a logistic analyst. She was a member of the East Schuyler United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband Ron at home; her mother in law: Bridget Murdock of Schuyler; two sons: Mark Murdock and wife Denise of Schuyler and Jeffery Murdock and wife Angela also of Schuyler; two sisters: Joyce Gibbs and husband James of Bridgewater and Cathy Reinhardt and husband Carl of Schuyler; four adored grandchildren: Caitlyn, Mark, Mike and Zachary Murdock; in-laws: Bill Murdock and wife Emily of Utica, Stanley Murdock of Schuyler, Judy Gillette and husband David of Schuyler and Vincent Nicolette also of Schuyler; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother George Gage, a sister in law: Emily Nicolette; by her beloved grandson Cody Murdock; by her father in law: Harold Murdock and by her step mother: Mary Gage. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 from 5-8 p.m . at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., between Frankfort and Ilion, (894-8000). Mrs. Murdock's funeral will commence at 10 am on Wednesday, Nov. 7th from the Enea Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Klossner, pastor of the East Schuyler United Methodist Church, officiating. Procession will follow to East Schuyler Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.
