Obituary of Mike Pasquale

Mike J. Pasquale, 81, a longtime Little Falls resident, passed away on Sunday June 17, 2007 at St. Luke?s Hospital, New Hartford, NY. He was born September 5, 1925 in Little Falls the son of the late Anthony and Mary Antonio (Pietrafessa) Pasquale, and was educated in Little Falls schools. His marriage to Doris Wurzbacher took place on November 24, 1951 at St. Joseph?s Church in Little Falls. Mr. Pasquale was a World War II Marine Corp. veteran, enlisting on November 20, 1943 and was honorably discharged on February 15, 1946 with the rank of Corporal. While serving his country he received the following awards: Certificate of Satisfactory Service, Good Conduct Medal and the Purple Heart. For many years Mike worked for the Little Falls Central School System, retiring in 1986. At one time he worked as a shift manager at the Indian Castle Service Station. Mike was a member of the Holy Family Parish. Mike was an avid gardener, who took much pride in the nurturing and harvest of his garden. Survivors include her loving wife of 55 years, Doris; two sons, Gary Pasquale and wife Barbara of Lansdale, PA and Jerry Pasquale of Sicklerville, NJ; two sisters, Lucy Brown and Mary Smith both of Little Falls; four grandchildren, Stephen and Christopher Pasquale and Ian and Harry Pasquale; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Salvatore ?Phil?, Emilio and Rocco Pasquale and a sister, Carmella Calafrancesco. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 20, 2007 at 10:15 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY and at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Anthony Ligato, pastor. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, with full military honors accorded. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Tuesday June 19, 2007 from 5-7:30 pm. All memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Family Parish. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home
