Obituary of Edna Pavalock

LITTLE FALLS-Mrs. Edna M. Pavalock, 91, a lifelong Little Falls resident, most recently of Van Allen's Nursing Home, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, September 21, 2007 in Little Falls Hospital with the love and comfort of her family by her side. She was born on December 6, 1915 in Little Falls, the daughter of the late John F. and Mary (Guiney) Mullen and graduated from Little Falls High School. She was united in marriage to Donald J. Pavalock on May 21, 1938 in St. Mary's Church, Little Falls, a devoted and loving union of 50 years until Mr. Pavalock's passing on July 19, 1988. Edna was last employed with Salada Foods as a tea packer and was at one time employed by Allegro Shoe Company. She was a devoted member of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. She was well known in the community of Little Falls owning and operating the Gold Star Beauty Salon for several years. She belonged to the Little Falls Hospital Guild and the Holy Family Parish Rosary Society. Edna was a loving and attentive mother, grandmother and great grandmother. The main focus of her life was caring for her family; she tended to her loved ones with care and support. She was a faithful woman who had sincere religious beliefs, and love and respect for the Catholic faith. Survivors include three beloved daughters: Ann Blask of Little Falls, Margaret Vickery and husband John of Little Falls and Ellen J. Pavalock of Turnersville, NJ; her cherished grandchildren: Kyle Krchniak and wife Kristin, Karla Famulare and husband Nick, Dawn Coleman and husband James, John Vickery Jr., Beth Vickery, Donald Pavalock and wife Debbie, Thomas, Michelle, and Christine Pavalock; her adored great grandchildren: Steven Barhydt, Kathryn, Kourtney, and Kaidan Krchniak, Mitchell, Max and Mason Famulare, April Pavalock and Hannah Rose Pavalock; and sisters in law: Margaret Mullen and Helen Pavalock. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son: Thomas J. Pavalock; by a daughter: Mary E. Murphy; by her sister: Betty Leary; by her brother: Harold Mullen; and by her great grandaughter: Kailan Pavalock. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Sunday, September 23, 2007 from 3-6 p.m. Mrs. Pavalock's funeral will commence at 10:15 am on Monday, Sept. 24th from the chapel of the funeral home thence to Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Sts., Little Falls where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. Members of the Rosary Society will form an honor guard at the service. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest.
