HERKIMER/FRANKFORT-Mrs. Jennie (Jeffalone) Peruzzi, 96, of W. Smith St., Herkimer, a Frankfort native, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 24, 2007 in St. Elizabeth?s Medical Center, Utica. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, on Thursday July 26, 2007 from 5-7 p.m. Her funeral will commence from the chapel of the funeral home at 8:15am on Friday, July 27th where prayer will be offered and at 9 am from Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Main St., Herkimer, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Procession will follow to Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest with her husband Francis. She was born on January 22, 1911 in Frankfort, daughter of the late Frank and Angelina (Scolata) Jeffalone and educated in Frankfort schools. On November 23, 1946, she was united in marriage with Francis A. ?Frank? Peruzzi in St. Mary?s Church, Frankfort. The couple enjoyed a devoted union of 47 years until Mr. Peruzzi?s passing on April 15, 1994. Jennie was last employed with the former Allegro Shoe Corp., Little Falls and was employed at one time by Remington Rand in Ilion. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer. Always a family-oriented individual, Jennie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; her grandchildren were the center and joy of her life. Her legacy of love for family will always remain in the hearts of her loved ones. In her leisure time she enjoyed polka music and traveling. She loved the outdoors and working in her garden. Survivors include two sons: Carmen Peruzzi of Herkimer and Francis Peruzzi and wife Erin also of Herkimer; one sister: Carmella Jeffalone of Utica; three cherished grandchildren: Francis Peruzzi and friend Beth Herringshaw, Amy Fazio and husband Frank and Michele Wilcox and husband Eric; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a sister in law: Felicia Jeffalone and two special nieces: Dawn Andrews and Adele Jeffalone. She was predeceased by two brothers: Joe Jeffalone, Sam Jeffalone and by her sisters Rose Cacciatore, Pauline Smith, and Mary Earl.
