Obituary of Louise Pollard

Mrs. Louise Jean Pollard 79 a resident of the St. Johnsville Nursing Home since January of this year, and formerly of 848 Rt 29A Salisbury Center, died Monday August 6, 2007 at the nursing home. She was born in the Town of Salisbury on February 20, 1928 the daughter of the late Rudy and Viola (Comstock) Ayers and was educated in schools in Salisbury and Stratford. Her marriage to Robert Pollard took place on September 4, 1948 in Caroga Lake, New York. Mr. Pollard predeceased her on November 18, 1999. Louise was employed for many years at the Daniel Green Company of Dolgeville, retiring from there when they closed. She then went to work at the Little Falls Hospital in the laundry department until retiring from there in 2001. She was a member of the Stratford Methodist Church, the Stratford Senior Citizens, and personally enjoyed camping with her family. Surviving are her Sons and their wives, Roger and Carol Pollard of Salisbury center, David Pollard of Herkimer, Robert and Connie Pollard of Salisbury and Calvin and Jodi Pollard of Little Falls, her Daughters and their husbands Judith and Edward Austin of St. Johnsville, Christine and Stanley Brys of Stratford and Sharon and Sam Gray of Stratford, a Sister Janet Ayers of Salisbury Center, 14 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by a Brother Martin Ayers and a Sister Reva Krawec. Louise made an anatomical gift of her body to Albany Medical College, therefore there are No formal services. The family will celebrate her life on Saturday August 11, 2007 from 1-4 PM at the home of her son Robert Pollard Rt. 29A Salisbury. Memorials may be made to the Stratford Methodist Church in her name. Arrangements are entrusted to the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville.
