Sharon K. Richer, 60, of Kingdom Road, Jordanville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday September 20, 2007, at the home of her daughter. She was born November 7, 1946 in Herkimer, the daughter of the late Raymond & Doris (Howell) Irish and was a graduate of Mohawk High School, class of 1964. Her marriage to Clyde Richer took place on September 12, 1970 at the Mohawk Methodist Church. Mr. Richer passed away on November 23, 1998. Sharon was last employed at Hannaford Market in Herkimer. A woman devoted to her family, Sharon proved herself a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was an avid Bowler participating in many leagues throughout the valley. In her leisure Sharon enjoyed NASCAR racing and football. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Zylinsky of Jordanville, two sons, Raymond Richer of Jordanville, and Michael Richer of Herkimer, a brother, Raymond Conte and wife Lee Ann Sanborn-Conte of Minnetonka, Minn., a sister, Cheryl Karpowich and husband Donald of Ilion, four grandchildren, Jacob Archer, Matthew, Marissa & Sarah Zylinsky, several nieces & nephews, a special aunt, Doris Conte of Frankfort, three special cousins, Brian & Paul Ferguson both of Frankfort, and Alexandra Smithers of Ilion, and in-laws, Barbara & Betty richer both of East Herkimer. Graveside services will be held on Monday September 24, 2007 at 10:00 am at Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, (Main Street between Ilion & Frankfort) on Sunday September 23, 2007 from 5-8 pm.
