Obituary of Elizabeth Schuyler

Elizabeth Marilyn Schuyler, 318 E. Main St., Frankfort, NY, beloved daughter of John H. and Marilyn R. Schuyler, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning, September 27, 2007 in Los Angles, CA. Liz was born on March 2, 1984 in Ilion, NY and resided her entire life in Frankfort. She attended Frankfort-Schuyler Central School and was a graduate with the Class of 2002. She attended Herkimer County Community College, participating in the Honors Program. Liz was a member of the Marcy Community Church, serving as a past Youth Fellowship President and past member of the choir. Liz volunteered as a counselor at Covenant Hills Christian Camp in Cabot, VT with her brother and father. She currently was a co-secretary of the AA organization which she recently joined in Los Angles. Liz was committed to enjoying life and brought happiness to all who she touched. She loved animals of all kinds and enjoyed working with their care. She was expressive and creative in her writing and had hoped one day to teach. Her loving and cheerful spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She would make you smile and laugh and bring happiness to life. Her caring and giving manner was appreciated by many and her joyful spirit will remain with us always. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Doris E. Schuyler, E. Schuyler, NY; her brothers Jeremiah T. of Jeffersonville, VT, Zachary J. and Jonathan H., at home; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her special friends Jane Peters of Frankfort, NY, Joseph Servetus of Utica, NY and by her very special friend and companion, William Byerly of Los Angles, CA. She was predeceased by her brother Christian A. Schuyler in 2001; by her paternal grandfather, William R. Schuyler, Sr. and both of her maternal grandparents, Harold F. and Ruth A. Olds. Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Liz's life at a Memorial Service to be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Marcy Community Church, Route 291, Marcy, NY. The family will receive friends and family from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the E. Schuyler Cemetery, E. Schuyler, NY, at the convenience of the family. Gifts of remembrances may be made by individual discretion. Special envelopes are available during visiation and services. All arrangements are entrusted to the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion (895-7722).
