DANUBE-Mrs. Mary A. Slabe, 79 of Finks Basin Rd., town of Danube, passed away early Saturday morning, December 15, 2007 in Van Allen?s Nursing Home, Little Falls. She was born on November 28, 1928 in Little Falls daughter of the late Harold and Frances Snell and graduated from St. Mary?s Academy, Little Falls. On June 16, 1947 she was united in marriage with Charles T. Slabe in Little Falls. He passed away in 1964. She was employed as a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Slabe is survived by three sons: Charles Slabe and wife Carol, Steven Slabe and wife Yvonne and Richard ?Rick? Slabe all of Little Falls; a daughter: Margaret McLean and husband Dennis of Schuyler Lake; a brother: Harold ?Harry? Snell and wife Theresa of Little Falls; a sister: Emma Malone of Mohawk; five grandchildren: Ken McLean and wife Connie, Kathy Jackson and husband Lavella, Jennifer McKinney and husband Joe, John Slabe and Jeff Slabe; and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister: Betty Schall and by a son David Slabe. Visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, will be on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from 10-11 am. The funeral will commence at the conclusion of visitation (11 am) on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor of Holy Family Parish and Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, officiating. Funeral procession will follow to St. Mary?s Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. Memorial offerings may be made to the Holy Family Parish Memorial Fund; envelopes are available at the funeral home.
