Mary Stagliano, 83, a long time St. Johnsville resident, passed away on Thursday May 3, 2007 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born March 14, 1924 in Chiaravalle Centrale, Providence of Catanzaro, Italy the daughter of the late Francesco & Elizabeth (Macri) Iozzo. Mary was educated in her native country. Her marriage to Frank Stagliano took place on June 15, 1947 in Italy. The couple shared a blessed union of 53 years until the passing of Mr. Stagliano on September 5, 2000. Mrs. Stagliano worked at one time at the former Corso Dress Shop and the Little Falls Dress Shop. She was a member of St. Patrick?s Church in St. Johnsville. Survivors include her sons, Frank Stagliano and wife Cindy of St. Johnsville and Dominick Stagliano and wife Barbara of St. Johnsville, a brother, Vincent Iozzo of Canada, her grandchildren, Stephen Stagliano and wife Elizabeth of North Carolina, Emilee Snell and husband Mark of PA, Mindy Stagliano of St. Johnsville, and Alissa Stagliano of Guilderland, three great grandchildren, Jacob & Andrew Snell & Nicholas Stagliano, several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws, and a special nephew, Anthony Ponteduro of Schenectady. She was pre-deceased by 3 brothers, Paul, Nick, & Tony Iozzo, a sister, Josephine Ponteduro, a step-sister, Isabella Lasadonte. Funeral services will be held on Monday April 7, 2007 at 1:30 pm from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY and at 2:00 pm from St. Patrick?s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home of Sunday Mary 6, 2006 from 4-8 pm. All memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick?s Church or to S.A.VA.C. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
