Obituary of Mary Taylor

Mary E. Taylor, of Newport, passed away on Monday September 3, 2007 at her home with her loving family by her side. Mary was born in VanHornesville, the daughter of the late Eugene & Hazel (Keller) Bronner, and was educated at Owen D. Young Schools. She was married to Robert D. Taylor who pre-ceded her in death in August of 1983. Along with her husband, they owned and operated the Taylor Dairy Farm in the town of Fairfield, NY. At one time she was a seamstress at the former Little Frocks in Little Falls. Mary was much loved, honored, and respected by her family who will always cherish her with fond and everlasting memories. A woman devoted to her family, Mary always put the needs of her children and grandchildren first. She enjoyed the time spent playing Pinochle with her grandson Rocky and Upwards board game with her granddaughter, Rachel. Mary was a wonderful seamstress and took much pride in sewing handcrafted gifts for her family. An avid outdoors person, Mary enjoyed gardening, and hunting and fishing. Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly A. Taylor of Newport, and MaryLou Schleicher of Arizona, her sons, Dr. Gary L. Sickler of Texas and Larry Sickler of Ilion, her loving grandchildren, Rocky R. Matthews of Newport, Rachel L. Matthews of Newport and fianc? Eric Michael Butler of Utica, Eric Sickler of Texas, and Lisa Stolt of Texas, several great grandchildren, one brother, Darwin Bronner of VanHornesville, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Madeline Flynn and Beatrice Smith. Funeral services will held on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 11:00 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY. Burial will follow at Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday September 6, 2007 from 5-8 pm.
