Obituary of Walter Warner

Walter R. (Plunk) Warner, 75, of 91 Burwell St., Little Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 5, 2007 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, NY. He was born January 9, 1932 in Little Falls the son of the late Raymond and Edna (Koch) Warner and was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School. His marriage to Jean Ann Pocentyluk took place on April 19, 1958 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Little Falls. Walter had lived in the Little Falls area all of his life and was last employed at Salada Foods in Little Falls. At one time he worked at Acme Supermarkets and for many years in the farming industry having worked with his late uncle, Walter Warner. Mr. Warner was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. Walter was a talented handyman who could fix and repair anything that was handed to him. Plunk was a quiet unassuming man who believed in making his family happy, and loved his wife children and grandchildren dearly. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Jean Ann, two sons, Raymond I. Warner of Little Falls, and William W. Warner of Wimauma, Florida, a daughter, Gail A. Starring and husband Robert of Salt Lake City, Utah, three grandchildren, Garret, Sarah and Jennie Starring, two brothers, Paul Warner and wife Nora of Little Falls, and Allen Warner and wife Eileen of the Town of Danube, a sister, Kathleen Windecker and husband Russell of the Town of Danube, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert Warner and a sister, Elsie Casler. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 10, 2007 at 10:15 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY and at 11:00 am from Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Tuesday October 9, 2007 from 5-8 pm. Parastas will be held on Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. All memorial contributions May be made to the Holy Family Parish Restoration Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
