Obituary of George Willman

LITTLE FALLS-George T. Willman, 55, of Alexander St., passed away after being stricken at home on Tuesday evening, May 29, 2007 in Little Falls Hospital. He was born on May 5, 1952, in Little Falls, son of the late George E. and Elizabeth J. (Kinney) Willman and educated in Little Falls schools. He proudly served his country and received an honorable discharge from the United States Army and was last employed with P & C Foods, Fayetville. George was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Little Falls American Legion, Post #31, German Mannerchoir and the Little Falls Polish Club. George, also affectionately known as "Pork" to family and friends fulfilled his various roles in his family circle: he was a good companion to Rachel and also her best friend; he was a father who offered guidance and support; and he was a devoted and caring son, brother, uncle and friend. He had a unique personality one which drew people to him and one that has left a lasting impression on all who knew him. George was happiest when surrounded by family and friends and will be sadly missed. He leaves his beloved and devoted companion of 23 years: Rachel Davidson of Little Falls; two sons: Chris Willman of California and Jason Davidson of Colorado; a daughter: Jennifer Lee and husband Eric of California; his brothers and sisters: William Willman and wife Mickey of Syracuse, James Willman and wife Sandy of Tenn., Janet Coholan and husband Terry of Rochester, Joan Olney and husband Bob of Syracuse, Elizabeth Buckbee and husband David of Little Falls, and Sarah Green and husband John of Little Falls; three grandchildren: Robert, Michael and Ortise; a sister in law: Mary Willman of Ilion; an aunt: Dorothy Willman of Little Falls; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Timothy and John "Kurt" Willman. In respecting George's final wishes, there is no public visitation or funeral service. The family will have a private gathering to say goodbye at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. Friends may join Rachel and the Willman family at the Little Falls American Legion on Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 at 12 noon for a celebration of George's life. Donations in his memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502.
