Obituary of Anthony Carlisto

Mr. Anthony "Whitey" Carlisto, 96, formerly of Franklin Square, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, December 19, 2006, in Van Allen's Nursing Home, Little Falls, where he has resided since 2002. He was born in 1910, the son of the late Cesare and Maria (Napolitano) Carlisto in Springfield, Ma., and was employed as an auto mechanic in Franklin Square, NY, where he had resided for many years. He served as a volunteer fireman for over 60 years with the Franklin Square Fire Department and was last employed with Radory Construction Company in West Hempstead, NY. Survivors include two sons: Anthony Carlisto of Little Falls and Robert Carlisto of Desrin, Fl.; a daughter: Mary Ann Lomonaco of Franklin Square; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by seven brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held at the Franklin Funeral Home, 42 New Hyde Park Rd., Franklin Square, NY, 11010, on Friday, Dec. 22, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mr. Carlisto's funeral mass will be at the St. Catherine of Siena Church, 33 New Hyde Park Rd., Franklin Square, on Saturday, Dec. 23rd at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Rood Cemetery, Franklin Square.
