Obituary of Camilla Caswell

Camilla J. Caswell, 81, a lifelong Ilion resident, passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at the Folts Homes, Herkimer. Camilla was born Jan. 7, 1925, in Ilion, daughter of Albert and Johanna (Bogle) Jarvis. She was a graduate of Ilion High School. On June 1, 1968, she was united in marriage to Jack Caswell in Amsterdam. They shared a special union of 22 years until Mr. Caswell's passing on May 31, 1990. At one time she was employed by Beechnut in Canajoharie and later worked as head teller at the Mohawk Valley Savings and Loan, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Ilion First Presbyterian Church. Camilla was devoted to her beloved family. Survivors include her two daughters, Cynthia ?Cindy? Susi of Tribes Hill, N.Y., and her fiance Frank Fattoruso, Lynne Miller and her husband Scott of Ilion; one son, Scott Lewis of Lakeworth, Fla.; five cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Gray of Niskayuna, Kayleigh and Joshua Miller of Ilion, Jeffrey Susi and his wife Julie of Rochester, and Jason Corapi and his wife Vickie of Johnstown; five great-grandchildren, Charles and Joseph Susi, Jackson Gray and Dakota and Dylan Corapi; one sister, Leona Cramer of Minnesota; one brother-in-law, Don Garlock of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, son Jarvis ?Jay? Lewis, infant sons, Scott M. and Victor Jon Lewis, and sisters, Edith McDaniels, Mary Shea, Wilma Danforth, and Roberta Garlock. Family and friends are invited to Camilla's memorial service Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, commencing at 10 a.m. at the Ilion First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Victor McKusick, pastor, officiating. Procession to Armory Hill Cemetery for interment will follow the service. In keeping with Camilla's wishes, there will be no public calling hours.
