Obituary of Joseph Condello

Mr. Joseph s. Condello 93 of 9 Lamberson Street Dolgeville, died Monday February 27, 2006 in Little Falls Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Italy on August 13, 1912 the son of Dominic and Antoinette (DeLucco) Condello and came to Dolgeville with his parents 1917. Joe was educated in Dolgeville schools. His marriage to the former Mary LaVista took place on June 16, 1946 in St. Joseph?s Church in Little Falls. Mrs. Condello predeceased him on March 6, 1997. A veteran of the United States Army, Joe served in the Army Band during World War II. Joe was a supervisor for the former Daniel Green Shoe Company of Dolgeville with over 40 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Joseph?s Church Dolgeville, a charter member of the Knights of Columbus of St. Josephs Church, a member of the Dolgeville Community Band. The village of Dolgeville dedicated the community gazebo to him in 2003 for his many years of community service and his love of music. He is survived by a Daughter and her husband Kathleen and Charles Provorse of Dolgeville, a Granddaughter Caryn Varvaro of Dolgeville and a Great Granddaughter Faith Kathleen Varvaro, several Nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Lorraine who lived with him, on December 28, 2005. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday March 4th, 2006 at 11AM in St. Joseph?s Church on Helmer Avenue Dolgeville. The Rev. Leo F. Potvin will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the spring in St. Joseph?s Cemetery. There are NO Calling hours. Memorials in Joe?s name may be made to the Memorial Fund at St. Joseph?s Church or to the St. Jude Children?s Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the services on Saturday. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville.
