Kenneth L. Cool, 96 a life long resident of Lasselleville, passed away on Friday April 14, 2006 at his home. He was born January 20, 1910 in Lassellsville, the son of the late Floyd and Lizzie (Miles) Cool, and was educated in Lassellsville schools. His marriage to Frances Clemons took place on June 13, 1931 in the Town of Oppenheim. Through the years, Kenneth held various employments, which include, The State of New York, Remington Arms, where he was renown as an expert marksman, and his last employment at the Oppenheim ? Ephratah Central School where he held the position of custodian and bus driver. He was passionate about gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, playing his harmonica and sharing his memories with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Frances, a daughter, Patricia Johnson and husband Richard of Lassellsville, his grandson, Kenneth Haak and wife Margo of Montana, his granddaughters, Sheryl Ursi and husband Carl of St. Johnsville, Denise Sherman of Lassellsville, Doreen Boyer of St. Johnsville, Jennifer Rockwell and husband David of Edinburg, Frances Snell of St. Johnsville, and Kimberly Chambers and husband Scott of Unadilla, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, an honorary granddaughter, Doreen Wells, lifetime friends Bill and Eleanor Hayes of Lassellsville, and many nieces, nephews & cousins. He was pre-deceased by a daughter Audrey Snell. Funeral services and interment at Michael Cemetery, Lassellsville, will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
