Robert G. (Bob) Corso, 64 of 24 E. Liberty St., St. Johsnville passed away on Tuesday February 28, 2006 at St. Mary?s Hospital, Amsterdam, NY. He was born March 19, 1941 in Little Falls the son of the late Anthony & Mildred (Heiser) Corso and was educated in St. Johnsville school. Bob was first married to Norma M. Johnson on May 16, 1959 at St. Patrick?s Church in St. Johnsville by Reverend Walter T. Burns. The couple shared a blessed union of 41 years until the passing of Mrs. Corso on April 1, 2001. He was later married to Irma Johnson Service on August 3, 2002. Bobby was last employed at Beech-Nut in Canajoharie, for 37, years until his retirement in 2004. Mr. Corso was a member of St. Patrick?s Church in St. Johnsville. He was also a member of the St. Johnsville Volunteer Fire Department joining in June of 1966, during his service he was awarded Fireman of the Year, twice, He was also a member of S.A.V.A.C., serving as a Captain at one time. He was awarded the Stork Pin for delivering a baby. Bob was also a member of the Harry C. Smith Benefit Club and the Ephratah Rod & Gun Club. With family as his foremost priority, Bobby proved himself a loving and caring husband father and grandfather. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time at the St. Johnsville marina with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Irma, 2 sons, Anthony Corso and his fiancee Donna Bradley of Auriesville and Michael Corso and his wife Merry of St. Johnsville, a brother, Anthony Corso and wife Jean of Richfield Springs, a sister, Joyce Harrington of Canajoharie, 3 grandchildren, Brandon Corso and fiancee Kayla Barnes, Anthony Corso and Brittany Corso all of St. Johnsville, his mother-in-law, Viola Johnson of St. Johnsville and many nieces, nephews cousins, and in-laws. He was pre-deceased by 2 sons, Robert & Wade Corso. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 3, 2006 at 9;00 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY and at 9:30 am from St. Patrick?s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Spring interment will take place in St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday March 2, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. All memorial contributions may be made to the St. Johnsville Volunteer Fire Department or to St. Patrick?s Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
