Jane Davis, 85, of 17 E. River St., Ilion, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. She was born on Oct. 27, 1920, in Geneva, N.Y. For many years, Jane was employed as a domestic worker for various local families in Frankfort. She attended the Church of the Annunciation in Ilion. She is survived by many friends including her close friend, Maggie Schorer with whom she resided in Ilion for the past 26 years. Other friends include: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Grippe and their family of Frankfort; Maggie Schorer's family from Fultonville and Johnstown; Jim and Judy Conover of Ilion; Gertrude Cramer and Zerita Maynard of Utica. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 at the Applegate and Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion with Father Anthony Barratt, pastor of the Church of the Annunciation officiating. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Visitation will be held Monday 10 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Annunciation.
