Obituary of Maurice Eisen

Maurice Bernard "Butch" Eisen, 66, formerly of Walnut St., Mohawk, and most recently a resident of the Heritage Healthcare Center passed away on Tuesday morning, Sept. 12, 2006 at the nursing home. He was born on Sept. 1, 1940 in New York City, son of the late Julius and Dorothy (Davis) Eisen. He came to the valley several years ago living in Little Falls then Mohawk. Butch was last employed with Herkimer Industries. In his spare time he enjoyed war and western movies and working with models. The family fondly remembers Butch as a loving brother and uncle. He will deeply missed by his loved ones. Survivors include his sister: Pauline Thibodeau and husband Ray of Mohawk; his nieces and nephews including: Dorothy Glidewell and husband Guy and a grandniece and grandnephew: Natalie and Thomas Glidewell. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the following health care facilities for their professionalism and compassion: St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford and Little Falls Hospital, especially mentioning the dialysis units, and the Heritage Healthcare Center in Utica. Also, a very heartfelt thank you to the staff of HARC in Herkimer for treating Butch as part of their own family. Visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street between Ilion and Frankfort, (894-8000) will be on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 (today) from 5-8 p.m. His funeral will begin at 9 am on Thurs., Sept. 14 from the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Jack Cogar officiating.
