Obituary of Ann Francisco

Ann J. Francisco, 89, a long time St. Johnsville resident, passed away on Thursday September 7, 2006 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born April 6, 1917 in Frankfort, the daughter of the late Charles & Jennie (Marchese) Campione, and was educated in St. Johnsville schools. Her marriage to Joseph Francisco took place on June 1, 1952 at St. Patrick?s Church in St. Johnsville. The couple shared a blessed union of 24 years, until the passing of Mr. Francisco on July 28, 1976. Ann, along with her son, Joey owned and operated Francisco?s Market in St. Johnsville. The market was opened in 1945 by Philip Francisco and his son Joseph. One of Ann?s greatest joys in life was visiting with her many customers while they were shopping. Ann was very proud to be serving the third generation of St. Johnsville families. Mrs. Francisco was a member of St. Patrick?s Church in St. Johnsville and its Alter Rosary Society. Survivors include her son, Joseph Francisco of St. Johnsville; her daughter, Christine Battisti and husband John of Johnstown; her grandchildren, Jonathan Battisti of Rochester, Maria & Matthew Battisti both of Johnstown, her brother, Joseph Campione of St. Johnsville; her sister, Lena Danna of St. Johnsville and many nieces, nephews & cousins. She was pre-deceased by her son, Philip Francisco, 2 brothers, James & Sam Campione, a sister, Mary Woroby, a brother-in-law, Frank Danna, a sister-in-law, Hazel Campione, and her in-laws; Philip & Christine Francisco. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 11, 2006 at 9:30 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville and at 10:00 am from St. Patrick?s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow at St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Sunday September 10, 2006 from 3-8 pm. All memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association, St. Johnsville Volunteer Fire Department or S.A.V.A.C. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
