Patricia A. Gros, 58 of 106 Piper Road, Herkimer, passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday May 9, 2006 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY. She was born March 24, 1948 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Lugino & Constance (Crews) D?Arcangelis. Pat was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, class of 1966 and was Student Council President, and furthered her education at Albany Business College. On April 12, 1969 she was united in marriage to Craig Gros at St. James Church in Fort Plain. Pat was employed at Hannaford Grocery Store in Herkimer where she was Department Manager and was also the Registrar of Vital Records of the Town of Herkimer. Mrs. Gros was of the catholic faith. With family as her foremost priority, Pat proved herself a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Craig, a son, Christopher Gros and wife Catherine of Round Lake, Ill., a daughter, Jennifer Houle of East Greenbush, NY, a brother, Richard D?Arcangelis and wife Cheryl of Fort Plain, a sister, Karen Fetrow and husband Stan of Caroga Lake, NY, 4 grandchildren, Mike Gros, Mary Gros, Matthew Gros, and Brendan Houle, and several nieces, nephews, cousin, aunts, & uncles. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Keith Gros and wife Holly of New Hartford, and a sister-in-law, Rae Ann Shackleford and husband Craig of Arizona. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 12, 2006 at 11:00 am from the Holleran & Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, with the Reverend Mark Cunningham, pastor of St. Francis de Sales Church, officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday May 11, 2006 from 5-8 pm. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Fort Plain Cemetery. All memorial contributions may be made to the Dialysis Unit of Bassett Healthcare, 1 Atwell St., Cooperstown, NY 13326. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
