Obituary of Robert Hannum

Robert H. Hannum, 64, of E. Main St., Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2006 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Bronxville on Dec. 7, 1941, son of the late Robert R. and Prudence M. (McNulty) Hannum and was educated in Irvington Central School. He furthered his education by attending Columbia University. On November 23, 1966 he was united in marriage with Regina Smith in the Irvington Presbyterian Church. He served his country with the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. Robert was self employed as a medical consultant. Robert's true passion in life was his involvement in community. It was through his active involvement that he made many friends and touched many lives. He lived the Rotary's principal motto "service above self" everyday always putting community and the needs of others before his own. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Regina at home; a daughter: Regan Lestor and husband Tom of Norton, Ma.; a brother: David R. Hannum and wife Carol of Bedford, Ma.; two nieces; many cousins and inlaws. In keeping with Robert's wishes, relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at memorial calling hours from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, where the family will be present. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider memorial offerings to the Little Falls Rotary Club as a tribute to Robert's dedication to his community.
