Obituary of Emma Heath

Emma R. Heath, 94 formerly of Mill Road St., St. Johnsville, passed away on Sunday January 1, 2006 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. She was born May 27, 1911 in St. Johnsville the daughter of the late Oliver and Sadie (VanEtta) Miles and was educated in St. Johnsville schools. Her marriage to George Heath took place in May of 1940. Mr. Heath passed away in 1971. For over 30 years until her retirement in 1973, Emma worked for the former Palatine Dye Co. in St. Johnsville. Mrs. Heath was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in St. Johnsville and the St. Johnsville Senior Saints. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Mosher of St. Johnsville and Barbara Shivka of Fort Edward, NY; 6 grandchildren, Glenna Capece and her husband Victor, Jr., of St. Johnsville, Nan DeNinno and her husband Scott of St. Johnsville, Stuart Shivka of Arizona, Thomas Shivka and his wife Janette of Arizona, Mark Shivka and his wife Carrie of Glens Falls, and Peggy Bartow and her husband Jeremy of Arguile, NY; 13 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and a nephew Joseph Heath of Champlain, NY. She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers, Burton and David Miles, 2 sisters, Margaret Miles & Gladys Miles, and 2 sons-in-law; Richard Mosher and Michael Shivka. Funeral services will be held at a later date to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY.
