Lois W. Howe, 85 a long time St. Johnsville resident, passed away on Friday January 27, 2006 at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home. She was born March 18, 1920 in Amsterdam, NY the daughter of the late John and Carolyn (Hardies) Keller and was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School, class of 1939. Her marriage to Glenn J. Howe took pace on May 10, 1946 in Rennselear, NY by Reverend Harold Mante. The couple shared a blessed until of 22 years until the passing of Mr. Howe on January 4, 1968. Mrs. Howe was last employed at various mills throughout the valley. At one time she was a domestic for many families in the St. Johnsville area. Lois was of the Protestant faith. She is survived by many cousins, and several friends including a special friend, Ann Francisco and her family of St. Johnsville. In keeping with Lois' wishes, graveside services will be held in the spring at West St. Johnsville Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
