Obituary of Grace Howe

Mrs. Grace A. (Harrod) Howe, 94, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away on Thursday evening, March 9, 2006. Her passing occurred in Little Falls Hospital where she established close bonds with the caregivers on the fourth floor. They will deeply miss her presence. She was born in Little Falls on February 25, 1912, the daughter of the late Charles and Harriet (Donney) Harrod and was educated locally. She was united in marriage with Solomon Howe on February 24, 1933 in Little Falls. He passed away in 1969. Following her husbands passing, Grace began her employment with Little Falls Hospital where she worked in the housekeeping department for several years. She was of the Methodist faith. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Grace always took good care of her family and home. Survivors include her daughter: JoAnn Beischer and husband William of Ithaca; a sister: Amelia Mosher of E. Rochester; two daughters in law: Claudia Howe and Millie Howe both of Little Falls; her grandchildren: Cindy Norjeko and husband Paul, Rob Howe, Tara Hardy and husband Jesse, and Brad Howe; two great-grandchildren: Nathan Miller and Kyle Howe; several nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Theodore "Ted" Shaver. She was predeceased by her sons: Richard Howe on December of 2002 and Robert Howe in April of 1997 and by two brothers and three sisters. In respecting Graces' wishes, there be no public visitation. Relatives and friends will be invited to a graveside service at Mt. View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls, at a time to be announced.
