Carl F. Howell, 65, of 324 State Route 80, Fort Plain, passed away on Friday November 24, 2006. He was born April 30, 1941 in Salem Mass., the son of the late William & Rita (Nadeau) Howell and was a graduate of Salem High School. His marriage to Doris Hadcox took place on February 14, 1999 in the Town of Minden. Mr. Howell was a United States Navy Veteran. Until his retirement in 2006, Carl worked for the North Hudson Wood Craft in Dogleville. Mr. Howell was of the catholic faith and was a member of the Fort Plain VFW & a life member of the Little Falls American Legion. Survivors include his loving wife Doris, a son, John Howell and wife Theresa of Sebring, Ohio, a daughter, Rita Hendrix and husband Jeff of Trion, Georgia, a brother David Howell and wife Joanne of Salem, MA. 3 step-sons, Thomas LaPorta and wife Shane of St. Johnsville, David LaPorta of Smyrna, Georgia, and Eric LaPorta of Jacksonville, Fla., 4 grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. He was pre-deceased by a sister and a brother. Funeral service swill be held on Wednesday November 29, 2006 at 1:00 pm from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY, with Reverend Kenneth Swain, pastor of St. James? Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday Nov. 29, 2006 from 11:00 am until the time of the services.
