Myrtle Humphreville, 91, formerly of Ilion, Frankfort and Dolgeville, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. She was born on March 4, 1915, in Mohawk and attended Mohawk schools. In 1954, she was married to Charles Humphreville in Mohawk. He died in 1984. Myrtle was employed as a cook at various local restaurants in Oneida County. She was a life member of the Herkimer County Marine Corps League Auxiliary. Survivors include her children, Helen Besig of Mohawk, Lewis Humphreville of Herkimer, Chuck Humphreville and his wife Eileen of Ilion, Clayton Humphreville and his wife Barbara of Herkimer; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, her sister, Millie Dallas, her son, Stanley and her brother, Harold. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, with Pastor Jack Cogar officiating. Spring interment will be in Carr Cemetery, Marcy. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home.
