Anne M. Kavic, 79, a longtime East Herkimer resident, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2006. She was born December 28, 1926 in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Frank and Pauline Martinovic, and was educated in Little Falls schools. Her marriage to Frank Kavic took place in Little Falls in 1946. A waitress for many years, Anne was employed for many restaurants, last working at the Prospect Hotel in Herkimer. Mrs. Kavic was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church in Herkimer. Survivors include her husband, Frank; two sons, Ronald Kavic of Warren, PA, and Robert Kavic of Herkimer; a brother, John Martinovac and wife, Marcia of Albany; a sister, Pauline (Lynn) Strunk of Albany; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Mike Martinovic; and a sister, Katherine Marosek. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. from the Holleran & Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, NY, with Reverend Mark Cunningham, Pastor of St. Francis de Sales Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services. All memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
