Obituary of Shirley Kroll

Shirley (Bubb) Kroll, 63, of 393 Stroupe Road, Ilion, died Sunday Nov. 26, 2006. She was born on Sept. 23, 1943 in Ilion, the daughter of Samuel and Ann (Stasco) Bubb and graduated from Mohawk High School. At one time she was married to Roy Johnson, who died several years ago. She later married Angelo Jacquays, who died on Sept. 13, 1991. She then married Joseph Kroll. Shirley was employed as a delivery receiving manager at P & C Food Market, Herkimer, for 18 years. She later worked at Big M, Little Falls, and Green Mountain Coffee Co. Survivors include her mother Ann Bubb of Mohawk; her four children, Deborah Johnson of Albany, Kirsten Entwistle and her husband Mark of Herkimer, James Jacquays and his wife Debbie of Ilion and Marc Jacquays and his wife Laurie of Herkimer; eight grandchildren, Shaina, Morgan, Kaitlin, Zachary, Daniel, Victoria, Sophia, and Cody; one great granddaughter, Cheyenne; two sisters, Mary Jean Purdy and husband Mike of Pottstown, Pa., and Kathy Lamprich and husband Mark of Charlotte, N.C.; four brothers, Robert Bubb of Florida, Wayne Bubb and his wife Janet of Charlotte, N.C., John Bubb and his wife Jody of Ilion and Peter Bubb of California; several nieces, nephews, cousins and four very special friends, Mary Volo, Kathy Berner, Jerry Boucher and Kate Lyons. She was predeceased by her father Samuel Bubb Jr. and her grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Applegate and Day Funeral Home, 102 West St. Ilion, and 10 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation, Ilion, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Anthony Barratt, pastor. Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Anyone who needs a ride to the services may call the funeral home at 895-7722 for complimentary transportation assistance. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice. Special envelopes are available at the Applegate and Day Funeral Home, Ilion.
