Obituary of Richard Kwiecinski

Mr. Richard N. Kwiecinski 91 of 74 Cross Street Yorkville died Wednesday evening October 11, 2006 in the Presbyterian Home for CNY with his wife and devoted family by his side. He was born in New York Mills on September 11, 1915 the son of the late Jan and Aniela (Samon) Kwiecinski and attended New York Mills School. His marriage to the former Catherine Warchal took place on November 7, 1936 in ST. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Utica. Richard and Catherine would have celebrated 70 years of marriage this coming November 7th. Richard was affiliated with his brother Edward for forty years as owner/operators of the following business; The Famous St. Mark?s Inn from 1948 -1969, the Edrich Restaurant in the New Hartford Shopping Center from 1952-60 and retiring from the Buffalo Head Restaurant in Forest port , in 1984. He was a faithful communicant of St. Mary?s Church in New York Mills, a member of the New York Mills, Hilltop and Yorkville Senior Citizens serving as a former officer in Yorkville Seniors. His personal interests were in playing cards, along with being an avid golfer. A devoted family man he always put his wife and his daughters and their families first. Surviving is his Wife Catherine of nearly 70 years, his daughters Jean (Shirley) Jarema of Fayetteville, PA, Joan (Arlene) and her husband Norman Ulinski of Whitesboro, His Grandchildren Richard Ulinski and Carolyn Laramie of New York Mills, Regina and her husband Thomas Shannon of Fairport, NY, Melanie and her husband Steve Trutkoff of Woodbine, MD, Kim Jarema of Silver Spring, MD, and Mark Jarema of Sykesville, Md., his Great Grandchildren, Danielle, Nicolette Elizabeth, Thomas and Zachary , his two sisters in Law, Irene Kwiecinski of Yorkville and Jane Warchal of North Utica. He was predeceased by a Sister Caroline Przylucki, and his Brother Edward J. Kwiecinski. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday October 16, 2006 at 11 AM in St. Mary?s Church, New York Mills. The Rev. Val Krohl Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St?s Stanislaus & Casimirs Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours will be on Sunday October 15, from 4-7 PM at the Wolain Funeral Home Inc. 266 Main Street New York Mills. Memorials may be made to the St Mary?s Church Memorial Fund in his memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. His family would especially like to thank Dr. Thomas Spath and his staff along with the staff of the Presbyterian Home for their care and concerns while Richard was a patient there.
