Obituary of Marion Malavasic

Mrs. Marion Lola (Fletcher) Malavasic, 74, of Melbourne, Fl., passed away on March 15, 2006 in her home. She was born on December 4, 1931 in Taftsville, Vermont, the daughter of the late Merle Frederick and Lola Mae (Perkins) Fletcher and was educated in Vermont schools. She met Frank Malavasic, Jr., while working at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and on June 28, 1952 they were married in Carson City, NV. Frank was in the US Navy and they were stationed in Alaska and ultimately moved to the Panama Canal Zone, where Marion worked for the US Army for 25 years. They then moved to Florida where Marion retired from civil service in 1985. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years Frank Malavasic, Jr of Little Falls, NY. Survivors include her son: Marc Malavasic and wife Cecilia of Melbourne, Florida; a brother in law: Michael Malavasic of Little Falls; three sisters in law: Lillian Kaiser and husband Fred of Little Falls, Rosemary Warren and husband Richard of Little Falls, and Shirley Malavasic of Little Falls; two grandchildren: Matthew and Andrew Malavasic; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family invites relatives and friends to a graveside service which will be held in Fairview Cemetery, town of Little Falls, later in the spring at a time to be announced. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. (823-2424).
