G. Marie Mattison, 86, formerly of Prindle Apartments, 80 East North Street, Ilion, and East Clark Street, Ilion, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Valley Health Services, Herkimer. She was born on Oct. 18, 1920, in Linton, Ind., the daughter of Henry and Lily (Owen) Hensley. Marie was a former member of the Herkimer Pentecostal Church and the Ilion Women of the Moose. Survivors include her three daughters and sons-in-law, June and Stanley LaFountain of Ilion, Helen and Richard Hall of Thendara, Donna and Ward Davenport of Girard, Ill.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles Reneau of Utica, Robert and Denise Rineau of Elizabethtown, Tenn.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Goldie Pope and three brothers, Elvin, Harold and Garland Hensley. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, with pastor Joe Jansen of the New Life Church officiating. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, North Ilion. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from noon-1 p.m. prior to the service at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home.
