Obituary of Frances Mazur

Mrs. Frances (Majsak) Mazur, 95, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away on Thursday morning, Nov. 2, 2006 in Van Allen's Nursing Home. She was born on June 2, 1911 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Frank and Winnifred Majsak and was educated in Little Falls schools. Her marriage to Andrew F. Mazur took place on September 6, 1931 in Sacred Heart Church, Little Falls. The couple enjoyed a union of 61 years until his passing on June 25, 1993. Frances was last employed with the former Press Factory in Mohawk. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. She was a member of the Little Falls Polish Community Home. Survivors include a son: Richard Mazur and wife Judith of Nashua, NH, a brother Ted Majsak of Little Falls; two grandchildren: Mark Mazur of Wisconsin and Michael Mazur of Texas. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her funeral will commence at 10:30 a.m . from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Saturday, November 4, 2006 where prayer will be offered and 11 am from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Street, Little Falls, where the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor, will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30, prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be offered in Mrs. Mazur's name to the Salvation Army, 431 N. Prospect St., Herkimer, NY, 13350. Envelopes may also be obtained at the funeral home.
